Description and Rules
- This a timed event with a score
- set up equipment as described below and check to make sure the laces of the snowshoes are in good condition
- place 2X4 or string on the ground to make a starting line
- make a distance of 25 to 30 ft place pylon as pivot point
- the object of the game is for the whole patrol to run around the pylons with the snowshoes on.
- each patrol selects up to 5 participants
- the first person in the patrol puts on the snowshoes
- starter says go
- person runs out and around pylon, returns to line, takes off snowshoes, gives them to the next person, he/she then repeats the same task.
- time whole patrol and record time on sheet
- make sure the number of participating members is written down, as the time is averaged.
- if there is more than one patrol at the event, 2 patrols could race each other, while both are being timed
